The Feast of Saint Blase recognizes the martyred Bishop of Sebaste in Armenia, reputed to have miraculously saved the life of a choking young boy. It is customary to bless the throats of the faithful on this day to preserve them from illnesses of the throat.
These candles are sold individually. It is two 51% Beeswax candles that are customarily intertwined as one at the base.
